Our four projects START Summit, START Hack, START St. Gallen and START Network have been a great success this year. All of this is due to the amazing team which has built all of these projects from the beginning to the end, as every year. With great pleasure would we like to announce that we are once again looking for new team members which will make their own impact on our projects this year and become part of the START family.

Connect Business and Technology: We aim to build a platform where the future business students get an awareness for technology and tech students create a spirit of entrepreneurial thinking.
International Anchorage of START: The initiative START has to be the one entrepreneurship and technology movement at the universities in Europe.
Foster Switzerland's start-up ecosystem: With our landscape of projects we aim to create a pipeline of activities for every early stage start-up in Switzerland.

START Summit

Connection: Bring actively corporates, start-ups, students and investors together by providing a platform with several network oportunities such as pitching competitions, speed dating, background sessions and more.
Education: Teach the participants and enable an awareness of the conference‘s focus topics with speeches, workshops and articles in the magazine.
Innovation: Once the participants have matched, create possibilities for the participants to join forces and use synergies. Create the place where innovation happens.

START Hack

The University of St. Gallen is great at business, but many start-ups are built around a technological product or rely heavily on technology in order to work. Through the Hack, we aim to bring St. Gallen onto Europe’s tech map and show that technological innovation is also possible at a business university. In an informal and creative atmosphere the hack allows talented students to challenge the problems of the modern world, but also allows programming novices to apply and develop their skills.

START Network

Establish the initiative START as a brand in Europe: START Network aims to establish the initiative START as a network and movement in Europe through our already existing Chapters and the relevant entrepreneurship and technology hubs in Europe.
Foster and accelerate regional ecosystems in Europe‘s start-up hubs: Establishing new strategic partnerships in different countries to organize START satellite events to expand our reach and network.
Create deep knowledge of tomorrows technological changes and problems: We are on the way to go one step further of being an event concentrated organization. We want to spread and create knowledge and insights into technological changes that influence our daily life.

START Incubator

The START Incubator accelerates the development of the HSG entrepreneurial ecosystem by providing young entrepreneurs access to industry expertise, helping them develop business networks and providing access to necessary services and funding.
Furthermore it aims to cross the bridge between ETH and HSG. It’s a three-month program in which early stage startups from the HSG and ETH are fostered through: helping define their idea through market validation, guiding them in building their prototype and business model, and helping them grow by teaching them the necessary skills.
