START Global

Connect Business and Technology: We aim to build a platform where the future business students get an awareness for technology and tech students create a spirit of entrepreneurial thinking.
International Anchorage of START: The initiative START has to be the one entrepreneurship and technology movement at the universities in Europe.
Foster Switzerland's start-up ecosystem: With our landscape of projects we aim to create a pipeline of activities for every early stage start-up in Switzerland.

START Summit

Connection: Bring actively corporates, start-ups, students and investors together by providing a platform with several network oportunities such as pitching competitions, speed dating, background sessions and more.
Education: Teach the participants and enable an awareness of the conference‘s focus topics with speeches, workshops and articles in the magazine.
Innovation: Once the participants have matched, create possibilities for the participants to join forces and use synergies. Create the place where innovation happens.

The University of St. Gallen is great at business, but many start-ups are built around a technological product or rely heavily on technology in order to work. Through the Hack, we aim to bring St. Gallen onto Europe’s tech map and show that technological innovation is also possible at a business university. In an informal and creative atmosphere the hack allows talented students to challenge the problems of the modern world, but also allows programming novices to apply and develop their skills.

START Network

Establish the initiative START as a brand in Europe: START Network aims to establish the initiative START as a network and movement in Europe through our already existing Chapters and the relevant entrepreneurship and technology hubs in Europe.
Foster and accelerate regional ecosystems in Europe‘s start-up hubs: Establishing new strategic partnerships in different countries to organize START satellite events to expand our reach and network.
Create deep knowledge of tomorrows technological changes and problems: We are on the way to go one step further of being an event concentrated organization. We want to spread and create knowledge and insights into technological changes that influence our daily life.

START Incubator

START Incubator is the largest student-run incubator in Europe and plays a leading role in helping to shape a new generation of entrepreneurs. The incubator provides students with the opportunity to kick-start their own start-ups during their studies. The unique offers of START Incubator comprise START Accelerator, START Odyssey and START Coworking. While START Accelerator is a three-month accelerating programme that provides students with the tools to turn their ideas into reality, START Odyssey gives pioneering idea holders the opporunity to form a team and concretise their idea in the context of a ten-day trip to Portugal. START Coworking is a new initiative supplementing the two programmes by providing students with a discounted access to partner coworking-spaces.
