The event management team is the backbone of START Global's events. They plan, supervise, and execute events throughout the year, ranging from smaller receptions and dinners for key stakeholders to large-scale conferences like the START Summit and START Hack, attracting over 6,000 attendees.

This team is the perfect fit if you want to enhance your organizational, structural, and leadership skills. You will closely collaborate with many other teams throughout START Global, which will help you develop your soft- and hard skills and create an overarching understanding of how larger organisations operate.

Summit

You will be responsible for having the overview of the development of the whole event and organizing all the behind the scene activities.

  • Draft your supporter strategy, recruit and manage 400+ people on-site at the Summit.
  • Ideate and execute various off-summit events such as parties, receptions, discussions, dinners, etc.
  • Shape the customer journey of different customer groups of a 5000+ participant event.
  • Design and orchestrate the logistics and backend operations for a large-scale event, which may include stage design, construction supervision, and afterparty management for 1500+ attendees.
  • This involves arranging for necessary equipment and supplies, managing transportation, and coordinating with vendors and suppliers.

Hack

You will be responsible for having the overview of the development of the whole event, and organizing all the behind the scene activities.


  • Shape the customer journey of over 500 Hackers.
  • Design and orchestrate the logistics and backend operations for a large-scale event, which may include stage design, construction supervision, and afterparty management for 1500+ attendees.
  • As the team manager, your responsibilities include ensuring effective collaboration among team members and timely completion of assigned tasks during the construction, execution and deconstruction of the Hack.
  • Arranging for necessary equipment and supplies, managing transportation, and coordinating with vendors and suppliers.
